Sunday Worship Celebration
9:15 AM EST/EDT
Worship is both vital and central to the life and ministry of Willow Creek Church. Our worship helps us live out our faith and devotion to God and Christ.
Worship at Willow Creek is:
· Relevant —You’ll hear inspiring messages that speak to your life. You’ll discover how the Bible relates to your everyday journey and circumstances.
· Uplifting—We use both contemporary and traditional music to help people enter God’s presence and sing God’s praises. We hope you’ll leave worship filled-up with joy for your journey!
· Challenging—Whenever we have an encounter with the living God, we will be changed. Our hope is that, as you experience worship at Willow Creek, you will encounter God and then be empowered to impact your community and world with the love of God.
From the special time for children to the quiet times of prayer, each element of our worship services is designed to help you draw deeper into your relationship with the living God Who calls us all into a relationship of love.

Our Beliefs
We are called as a people to worship God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We are a biblical church and acknowledge the Bible as the primary foundation and final authority of our faith and action.
In continuity with Christians through the ages and the historic church, we affirm The Apostles Creed (see below) and The Nicene Creed (see below) as faithful declarations of biblical truth.
We believe in the necessity of faith in Jesus Christ as the crucified and risen Savior and Lord of all.
We believe God offers grace and unconditional love to all, providing forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ and transforming our lives through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
We affirm the active work of the Holy Spirit, who cleanses and heals the life of the believer, bestows gifts for ministry, empowers us in prayer, and leads us in understanding the Word of God.
We believe every Christian is called into an intimate relationship with God, faithful relationships with other Christians, and Christ-like service in the world.
The Apostles Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son
is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in the one holy catholic and apostolic church.
We acknowledge one baptism
for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
